Intel’s 13th Generation Raptor Lake range of desktop processors is scheduled to be released by the end of 2022. The Intel Core i9-13900, which might be the top product from the 13th Gen Intel Core processor family, has been leaked online, demonstrating the potential performance boost over the 12th Generation Intel Alder Lake processors.

Intel is rumored to be launching the 13th Generation Intel Core processors a month ahead of the RTX 4000 series. As a result, users will get a new Processor and Graphics series to create high-end Computers for use cases such as gaming and professional tasks by the end of the year.

Tentative Specifications:

According to leaks, this new flagship processor would have up to 32 threads, which has now been confirmed by the Ashes of The Singularity statistic, which list the CPU as having 32 logical cores. The Intel Core i9-13900 CPU would have 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, and it will be manufactured utilizing Intel’s enhanced 7+ manufacturing process.

The latest 13th Gen Intel Core CPUs, such as the Intel Core i9-13900, is also stated to have a 20% bigger L3 cache and support DDR5 memory speeds of up to 5600MT/s. A performance boost of 33 percent to 50 percent is projected from the combination of hardware changes and software adjustments.

The Intel Core i9- 13900’s performance cores are predicted to have a base clock rate of 3.7GHz, while the efficiency cores are expected to have a base clock rate of 2.76GHz. When the CPU is overclocked, it is expected to run at a considerably faster rate.

Along with the standard model, Intel is anticipated to release the Intel Core i9-13900K with overclocking capabilities. These new CPUs may operate with Intel Z690 motherboards and support PCIe Gen 5, DDR5, the latest Wi-Fi standards, and other features.

Pricing:

According to the leak, the Intel Core i9-13900 will be slightly more expensive than the Intel Core i9-12900. In India, the forthcoming flagship desktop Graphics processor is likely to cost roughly $500, or Rs. 40,000.

Analysis:

Benchmarks for upcoming devices are always exciting since they can offer us a good idea of what we can anticipate when the full version is released, but it’s still early days. The trials were almost certainly conducted on an engineering sample, so they are likely limited to low clock speeds and may not reflect the capabilities of the final device, which is expected to be released later in 2022.

There are also reports that Raptor Lake may be a refresh of Alder Lake. This is just a way of saying no one truly knows what will be introduced later this year.

As AMD’s CPUs are slowly gaining market share due to their high quality and lower pricing, Intel will need to ramp up and become more innovative if it wants to create ripples in the industry.
